Armenia Leading Country in Number of Visitors to Neighboring Georgia

According to figures released by Georgia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs, there has been a steady increase in the number of foreign visitors to Georgia in the period 2006–2011. There was a 4% increase in the number of visitors this year as compared to last year. The highest number of visitors to Georgia come from Armenia.

Increase in road accidents in Armenia due to growing number of vehicles, better recording

Armenia has seen an increasing number of road accidents and resultant bodily harm and material damage so far this year, according to a senior road police official. Norik Sargsyan, who heads the Road Patrol Service of the Armenian Police, talked to media on Tuesday to present statistics for the first ten months of 2011. Luxury taxes: Armenian government vows increasing tax burden on rich
