Pasadena ANC Joins Jewish Community In Marking Holocaust and Armenian Genocide
Members of the Armenian American community will join together with their Jewish-American neighbors in the City of Pasadena on April 11th to mark Holocaust Remembrance Day at the Pasadena Jewish Temple and Center. The event will honor Holocaust survivors and will also mark the Armenian Genocide.
The Pasadena Armenian National Committee has reached out over the past several years to build ties with the Jewish-American community in the City of Pasadena.
Congressman Adam Schiff (D-CA), the chief sponsor of the Armenian Genocide resolution pending in the U.S. House of Representatives, is slated to be the keynote speaker at the Holocaust Remembrance Day event at the Temple. Father Khoren Baboushian from Pasadena’s St. Sarkis church will light a candle in remembrance to all victims of crimes against humanity and then provide a prayer to those survivors and victims of the Holocaust and Armenian Genocide.
“We are pleased to be participating in a human rights event being organized by the Pasadena Jewish Temple and Center to mark the Holocaust, the Armenian Genocide and all crimes against humanity,” remarked Pasadena ANC Executive Director Ishkhan Boghossian. “The Holocaust and the Armenian Genocide represent dark moments in our collective memory and are events that can never be forgotten,” Boghossian added.
The Pasadena Jewish Temple and Center’s event marking Holocaust Remembrance Day will be held on Sunday, April 11. The event will feature a concert honoring Holocaust survivors, where several outstanding international artists will take part.

Hypocrisy at its best.
Jewish organizations such as the ADL, JINSA, AJC, and others that represent most of the American Jewry have for the last two decades lobbied against and continue to actively lobby the US Congress against passage of resolution recognizing the Armenian genocide. The State of Israel denies the Armenian genocide.
Rabbi Hillel said it best: “If I am not for myself, then who will be for me? And if I am only for myself, then what am I? And if not now, when?”
I could not agree more with Berge, The reason that State of Israel denies the Armenian Genocide is because of their involvement in this crime. The do not want the truth to surface.
