Armenian Alphabet Memory Match Released to Apple’s AppStore
Pasadena, California – November 10, 2009 – The iPhone and iPod Touch have become mainstream worldwide products over the past couple years, and now Random Pixel Games has developed an Armenian based educational game for the platform.
The first Armenian game for the AppStore has game play suited for adults and children alike. Similar to a memory match card game, the player must match all the alphabet pairs in a given amount of time and achieve a high score.
The idea for an Armenian alphabet game was conceived by two Armenian private school students from California who after graduation realized their recognition of certain Armenian letters was diminishing over time.
“It started to get harder and harder to distinguish certain letters from one another,” says George Paloulian of Random Pixel Games, “because of the lack of daily exposure to Armenian literature. In response, we came up with Armenian Memory Match to provide us and our generation common exposure to the Armenian alphabet with a certain entertainment twist.”
The number of applications made for the iPhone and iPod Touch continue to grow on a weekly basis and Random Pixel Games has released hopefully what is the first of many Armenian applications to follow.
“This is a wonderful cultural addition to Apple’s AppStore, and we hope that Armenian Memory Match’s release sparks a wave of Armenian themed applications and games for the Apple devices in the near future.”
Random Pixel Games is a game studio based in Pasadena, California. Their focus is creating games for mobile platforms such as the iPhone, iPod Touch, Android and PSP.

Yea I actually downloaded it and tried it out. I got to admit it’s pretty good. Simple but addicting gameplay. Play a game and pass it on to a buddy to see if they can beat it. Good way to kill some time with some friends if you ask me.
